Most people who come here enjoy this area’s natural beauty and love to hike along the River Creek Trail. This is a challenging trail, but you can make it as hard or easy as you want. It’s about 2 miles long and starts right at the campground. This is a great place to come if you want to escape the crowds and enjoy nature at its finest. It’s one of my favorite places in all of North Carolina, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Camping at Lake Lure is a beautiful experience, and the best part about it is that this campground doesn’t get very crowded, so you’ll have the place to yourself. The campground has plenty of campsites, restrooms, showers, and a dump station.
