Devils Fork State Park
If you want to camp at Lake Jocassee, but don’t know which place is the best for your family, then I recommend Devils Fork, State Park. This park has campsites that are located near the water and has a boat ramp. It is also very close to other great attractions like Jocassee Gorges, Cane Creek Canyon, and Lake Hartwell.
Double Springs Boat-in Campsite
The Double Springs Boat-in Campsite is located at the end of a quarter-mile-long trail from FR 912. The campsite is famous for its excellent fishing, boating, and canoeing opportunities. The camp has a primitive boat dock and enough room for up to six people.
Jocassee RV Camp
Jocassee RV Campground is a fantastic place to camp in the summer. It’s located on Lake Jocassee so that you can spend your days swimming and boating. The campsites are very friendly and spacious, with a picnic table and a fire ring. The bathhouse is clean, but the water is cold!
If you’re looking for an adventure, there are many hiking trails in the area. My favorite is the one to Jocassee Gorges, which takes you down into a series of waterfalls and swimming holes.
